About Papikonda

Papikonda National Park stretches along the dramatic gorge of the Godavari River, where waters carve through ancient Eastern Ghats hills. Boat rides through the Papi Hills gorge offer extraordinary wildlife viewing with tigers and leopards roaming the steep ridges above. The park was elevated to national park status in 2008.
