About Mrugavani
Mrugavani National Park on the southern outskirts of Hyderabad protects a patch of dry deciduous scrub forest at the edge of the Deccan plateau. The name means 'forest of animals' in Telugu and it serves as a conservation education centre as well as a wildlife sanctuary. Despite its small size, the park supports a surprising variety of reptile species.
