About Khangchendzonga
Khangchendzonga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site sheltering the world's third-highest mountain at 8586 metres, sacred to the Sikkimese as the guardian deity of their kingdom. The park encompasses an extraordinary vertical range from subtropical forest to permanent glacier, supporting over 550 plant species and 144 mammal species. Numerous monasteries and sacred landscapes lie within its boundaries.
