About Dehing Patkai

Dehing Patkai National Park protects the largest remaining tract of lowland rainforest in India — a forest type almost entirely lost elsewhere. Sometimes called the Amazon of the East, this dense semi-evergreen jungle teems with Hoolock gibbons whose haunting calls carry through the misty morning forest.
