About Bison (Rajbari)

Bison National Park, also known as Rajbari National Park, protects a tract of moist semi-evergreen forest in the foothills of Tripura. The park is named after the gaur (Indian bison) which inhabits the dense forest along with sambar deer, wild boar, and the Hoolock gibbon. Managed as part of a cluster with the Clouded Leopard National Park, it forms Tripura's protected area network.
