About Mukundra Hills
Mukundra Hills National Park in the Hadoti plateau region was established as a tiger reserve to help relieve pressure on Ranthambore. The park's dry deciduous forest is historically significant — Emperor Jahangir hunted here — and the Chambal River canyon forms its western boundary. A handful of tigers sourced from Ranthambore have established territories in this dramatically rugged landscape.
